Description: 

The film shows a collection of Kenya’s finest game reserves. Recorded at Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, Nairobi Ntl Park, Tsavo West, Amboseli, Mount Kenya, Shaba, Samburu, Sweetwaters, Bogoria, Baringo, Nakuru, Naivasha and of course Masai Mara. Poachers’ Look-Out, Mzima Springs and energetic fighting Dik-Diks. Elephants in the swamp, where a 6 tons heavy bull-elephant forces itself through a line of tourist buses which got stuck. Whirlwinds rage over the salty plains. Shamelessly a Bushbuck hind offers itself. An almost 2 meter large Nile Monitor attempts to steal eggs from the Nile Crocodiles.Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra are only found in Northern Kenya. The AVP team had to experience the masculinity of the black Rhino Morani. After 34 years Morani died August 9, 2008 due to old age. Chimpanzees chase each other in the sanctuary, founded by the Kenya Wildlife Services and the Jane Goodall Institute. Oryx galloping at full speed to defend their territory. AVP even goes after the wild animals deep in the cold dark night. In a bird paradise, the majestic African Fish Eagle catches Tilapia out of the water at full speed. The Njemp tribe go out fishing in their typical boats. Joy Adamson wrote her books on Elsa, the lioness. AVP captured the Greatest Show on Earth. The annual migration, where 2 million Wildebeest have to cross the Crocodile infested Mara River. The AVP team follows a Cheetah family during hunting, whilst Jonathan Scott is hosting a new day in the series Big Cat Diary for the BBC. Each of it worth seeing, summing up in a fascinating wildlife documentary featuring a country of a kind;  ”KENYA – the collection”.
